Ben Woodall from Woodall Associates competes in the English Men’s Open Mid-Amateur Championship for the Logan Trophy.

As an amateur golfer aged over 35 years this is one of the biggest golfing events of the calendar year. The event is run by England Golf and this year the prestigious three day event was held at The Leicestershire Golf Club.

The competition is played over 54 holes and the field is normally made up of top amateurs from the UK and across Europe. 18 holes are played on day first and second day, then on the third day the leading 45 competitors battle it out over a final 18 holes to find an overall winner (lowest score over 54 holes).

Ben Woodall commented:

“This is one of my favourite annual competitions I really enjoy playing. It is always a challenging test of golf and each year the competitors and standard of golf seems to be getting more difficult ….. or…. It might be because I’m getting older. It was really nice to play the second round with my Brother on the bag as a caddy and at the same time promote my business”
